The English Department at Sophie-Scholl Realschule

At our school there are twelve teachers, who teach English. We do different activities within the lessons and after school.
We work on European etwinning projects, do after school activities in the English Club, watch films and give lots of presentations. Click on our link list to find out which programmes we like.

our latest projects

In May 2017 the English Club travelled to England. We took the plane, the Stansted Express and the tube to get to our hotel near the Southbank. From there we could walk to the Tate Modern and the Globe. We visited the Science Museum, Madame Tussauds, London Eye and the Tower Bridge Glass Floor. We enjoyed interesting bus rides. We went shopping in important locations and tried different food at Camden Market as well as Japanese at Wagamamas, We talked to different people, asked for information and understood quite well :-)

In July 2018 the English Club travelled to Scotland. There we did some hikes and also visited Glasgow. We also took the opportunity to go on a boat trip on Loch Lommond. In Edinburgh we passed by Hollyrood Palace where just then the Queen arrived for her visit. We also saw the parliament building and explored the botanical garden and some interesting museums.
